How to Import Envato Elementor Template Kits into Your WordPress Site

What You Need

  • WordPress site with admin access
  • Elementor installed (free version works)
  • Template kit ZIP file from Envato Elements

Step 1: Install Template Kit Import Plugin

The easiest way to import Envato template kits is using the free Template Kit – Import plugin.

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New in WordPress
  2. Search for “Template Kit Import”
  3. Click Install Now and Activate

Step 2: Upload Your Template Kit

  1. Navigate to Tools → Template Kit Import
  2. Click Upload Template Kit
  3. Select your downloaded ZIP file
  4. Wait for the import the file
  5. Click Import Template on each element or page you want to import

Step 3: Use Your Imported Templates

For Headers, Footers, or Theme Builder Templates:

  1. Go to Templates → Theme Builder
  2. Click Add New and select template type
  3. Open Elementor editor
  4. Click folder icon → My Templates tab
  5. Find your imported template and click Insert
  6. Set display conditions and publish

For Page Templates:

  1. Create or edit a page
  2. Click Edit with Elementor
  3. Open template library (folder icon)
  4. Go to My Templates and insert your template

Common Import Issues

Upload fails or times out: Contact your hosting provider to increase PHP memory limit and execution time.

Images missing: Envato template kits use placeholder images. Upload your own images for better results and SEO.

Fonts look different: Check if the template kit requires Google Fonts or custom font connections.
